Sheet 07 / Our standard

Our standard

What every jacket is held to, in plain terms. Where a figure is not confirmed yet, it is marked [to confirm].

01

Leather

Our jackets are full-grain leather. Full-grain means the top layer of the hide with its natural surface left intact, not sanded away and printed over. Marks and variation in the grain are part of it.

We use two hides. Lambskin is soft and light and moulds quickly to the body. Cowhide is firmer and heavier and holds its structure. The Shearling is suede-finished sheepskin with a shearling collar.

Construction

Construction is specified jacket by jacket in the specification table on every product page: thickness, finish, lining, hardware and weight. Until final samples are measured, those rows are marked [to confirm] rather than estimated.

Callouts on the product photos name what you can see: the collar, the zip, the pockets, the snaps and the seams.

Fit

Fit is the main reason leather jackets are returned, so every size is measured in centimetres and labelled with its AU equivalent. The table lists the garment, not the body: garment chest is the measurement around the jacket, and body chest is the range each size is made for.

Model is 183 cm and wears size M. If you are between two sizes, take the larger. The size finder on the home page and on every jacket page turns your chest and fit preference into a size.
